Cottages for rent in El GolfoLanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands, is also known as “The black pearl” or “Fire island” (Isla del Fuego). The island is covered in black, pink, purple and ochre-coloured solidified lava and its nearly 300 volcanoes define the breathtaking lunar landscape. Half of the crater of the El Golfo volcano is on land, the other half lies beneath the sea. Close to the crater lies the village of El Golfo, the best place on the island to enjoy the beautiful sunset. In this oasis lie “Las Chositas”, four renovated fisherman’s cottages on the beach, very close to the Atlantic Ocean.These cottages can be rented. There are three cottages that can sleep a maximum of 2 people each, and the fourth cottage can sleep four. Information on availability and rent prices per night is available on request via email. The minimum stay is three nights. The 2-person cottages have a double bed and the 4-person cottage has a double bed in a separate bedroom and a sofa bed that makes into two single beds in the kitchen/living area. All “Chositas” have a shower/toilet, kitchen, fridge, pots and pans, glasses, cutlery, bed linen, towels and beach chairs. El Golfo has a small supermarket with a reasonable selection of products that is open seven days a week. Of course the village also offers a good choice of fish restaurants.
